Bishop Henry is the General Overseer of COSEC Ministries International. He has led this ministry for over 26 years by the grace of God. The name of the church, which was “Communion of Saints Evangelical Church,” was first revealed to him. Later, he established branches in Nigeria, which are still thriving in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Bishop Henry Lawanson is a natural-born leader. He is extremely passionate about the spiritual welfare and well-being of his congregation. He has a passion for winning souls for Christ and leading men and women into the pathway of holiness. He is a spiritual father, mentor, role model, and adviser to many other churches that are friends of COSEC Ministries, being invited from time to time for various ministrations both here in the UK and in other countries. He is also involved in helping to develop other churches and has been given the nicknames ‘Abraham of our time’ and ‘Father of Faith’. During his years of service, he has ordained over thirty pastors, deacons, deaconesses, and ministers in COSEC Ministries as well as other sister churches. Bishop Lawanson is caring, loving and truly desires that all should come into the knowledge of Christ. To further equip himself and enhance his ministerial duties, he obtained a Diploma and a bachelor’s degree in theology. He was also awarded a certificate of participation in the ’Burst Forth’ master class from Shaddaiville Leadership Academy UK. He leads by example and demonstrates a passion and love for Christ that others can only emulate. He has received numerous awards, including the award of ‘Patriarch of Faith’ by the Glorious Sanctuary of Praise Ministry. In recognition of his service as a leader who has raised and discipled other leaders. As part of his numerous spiritual activities, he is the chairman of the Outreach Project Assessment Committee (Policy and Strategy) of Christ Beyond Borders International (UK), a body that promotes unity among all Christian denominations. He also visits the hospital to pray for the sick. He is happily married with five children and nine grandchildren
